the mind of a manic archives for August 2004

Added by snotty on 2004 August 26: This past weekend, I went climbing at vantage. It was a great drive out there and a great climb. My back had an uneven tan though 'cause the sunblock was uneven. I should have written something cool and then it wouldn't seem so bad. I've been climbing every tuesday now and getting better. 5.10 and V3 don't seem so hard anymore. I do need to get a stronger upper body and stronger fingers. In other news, Jen has a black kitty now, which requires a lot of attention and some antibiotics. Hopefully it will get well enough to travel to my place. I'm also close to having a hitch on my car. Next will be a motorcycle trailer. I've also finally got a radar/laser detector. It's way overdue. Now time to concentrate on work.

Added by snotty on 2004 August 17: It's been a fast two week. RSVP was a blast - rode to Vancouver from Seattle on my bicycle and it wasn't bad at all. Rain the first day, and sun the next - both days were interesting though. I rode with Dan and Jen picked me up in Vancouver. Had a minor spill, but I think my road bike is not going to last much longer. It wasn't bad at all and I think I can do more century rides and maybe do some longer distances. I had a business trip cancelled, which was good and bad (I was looking forward to travel again) but I did get a chance to go to ikea and get a cabinet and a shelfing unit - however I forgot a component which I'll have to go back to ikea to get... Oh yeah, and made some great pasta... chicken, onions, peppers, garlic, zucchini, celery and mushrooms. Great food that lasted a few days. Time for an office move and work and now I have a window office! Now it's time to see if the google ipo will make any money or bust on the first day.

Added by snotty on 2004 August 2: A whole month has flown by. Got back from Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London. I've been carrying a bug ever since that prevented me from doing the Trioba Cle Elum race =( I will however try to do RSVP this weekend. Jen took me to Theatro Zinzanni which was pretty good - it's worth at least one look. Dressing up is even more fun. Also did the MS company picnic this weekend and got buzzed at it and helped Zach move into his new place up in Greenlake. Time to get cranking at work =)
