LUG@UCLA sponsors installfests on the Saturday of second week each quarter. An installfest is an event at which people get together to do mass installations of Linux and other open source software. Bring your laptop or desktop, and get paired with an Linux guru to do the installation. We will help you select a distribution, partition your hard drive, install the operating system, show you how to use it, and everything else in-between.
What is it like?
See pictures and videos of past installfests at our media gallery.
There will be food, drinks, entertainment, and swag (promotional items).
