Note Note: this page is for planning our upcoming Buildfest

Buildfest is an event hosted by LUG@UCLA where participants learn how to build a desktop computer from parts. This is a very hands-on event. Participants will learn about all the basic components of a computer, and how they are interconnected. We also teach how to install an operating system and tune it to the specific hardware configuration. We shall use the free GNU/Linux operating system.
