You probably don't have gnome save you session settings every time you log
out. To enable this, go to the control center, 'Startup Programs'
(strangly enough), and make sure 'Automatically save chenges to session'.
On another note, in case anyone is interested, I'm currently running the
pre-1.2 version of gnome-core and gnome-applets. I've been running it
straight for a couple of days now, and except for a minor crash in the
panel, everything has been fairly smooth. So if you like living on the
wild side (Read: newbies, don't d/l this -- it's beta software) give it a
shot, and remember to submit any bug reports, so the official release can
be as bug free as possible.
