[UCLA-LUG] need help please: 1) DSL and 2) BootMagic

I'm a new user who just got installed at the fest. Many thanks for your 
great assistance. I have two questions.

1) Would someone please describe the steps I need to take to connect up 
with my ADSL ISP?

2) Here's a problem I ran into after I set lilo up to dual boot to win98 or 
linux and everything was working fine.
I decided to install Powerquest's BootMagic. Apparently, this wrote the 
master boot record thereby overlaying lilo's boot record info. BootMagic 
starts ok but won't start linux. BootMagic just hangs.
I used my linux boot disk to reboot and ran lilo once again which put lilo 
back in charge of the mbr.

I read somewhere that lilo's boot record need not necessarily be installed 
in the MBR, rather it can be installed in the linux partition.
If I want to use BootMagic to dual (or triple) boot, how can I get it to 
boot into lilo to start linux? Am I being unnecessarily complex to want to 
use BootMagic to do this? Should I just use lilo to boot dual or triple or 
more?
