Without the exact model number (e.g., something like "MagicXpress
MX56V-P1"), I can't lookup the modem sin the Linux Modem Compatability
Knowledge Base for you. What you can do is try playing around with the
"isapnp" program in order to get it recognized by Linux, assuming that it's
not a winmodem. isapnp isn't exactly easy to use, but once you get it
working properly, a non-winmodem should work just fine in Linux.
