There was a recent partial relaxation of the US export laws. They still are
unfairly restrictive, but they're a hell of a lot better than they used to
be a few months ago. Basically, we can include open source crypto stuff if
we email the government and tell them where they can get the source code
(which I've done). And then not export it to countries like Iran.
