We'll need you to give a bit more info than that.  Such as exactly where
in the process it freezes.  After initrd loads?  After the kernel
uncompresses?  After the LILO prompt?  After it tries to access the
CDROM?  Give specific error messages as well.  And check Alt-F2, Alt-F3,
Alt-F4, and Alt-F5 to see if there are any error messages on any of
those terminals.  To get back to your main screen hit Alt-F1.
