I agree with Joshua. If one starts proliferating lists then you
effectively segment the user base. As far as I can see the jobs that
come across linux@linux.ucla.edu are highly linux specific and are not
your typical job. It seems highly valuable to me.

And I have found on at least the USC lists that the people you help
today are the ones making discussions and answer other questions
tomorrow.
